A private car collection manager is responsible for the maintenance and upkeep of a client’s personal car collection.
They are expected to ensure that cars are maintained in best possible condition, updated and renovated where necessary, always in a state of good repair, and ready for use at all times.
This role includes washing, polishing and regularly driving the cars, and ensuring permanent readiness for exhibition.
The private car collection manager is generally expected to keep a log for each car, which they will up-date and communicate to their employer when required.
Individuals in this role would preferably be car enthusiasts themselves. Ideally, they would be able to offer advice to the client on maintenance and expanding the collection. They may be required to care for rare, luxury and collectable vehicles and should have extensive knowledge of best protocols regarding their maintenance and driving.

What responsibilities may a private car collection manager have ?
- Being knowledgeable and up-to-date on new and vintage vehicles, especially regarding their mechanical and technical maintenance
- Cleaning, polishing and regularly driving all cars in the fleet
- Maintaining individual, up-to-date logs with all necessary documents
- Managing administrative duties (such as tax, insurance, MOT etc.)
- Managing and liaising with subcontractors and suppliers
- Managing stock and supply operations regarding the fleet
All our private car collection managers are required to:
- Hold clean criminal records in both their country of employment and country of origin
- Present all certificates and qualifications from training centres and/or schools they attended
- Successfully pass two interview stages
- Provide at least three positive references from previous employers
- Complete professional dossiers containing: CV, cover letter, proof of identity (photocopy or scan), proof of address, proof of the right to work in the country of employment (if applicable), driving license and pay slips from previous professional placements. Candidates should be aware that other documentation may also be required.
