We are looking for our clients (a father and his grown-up daughter), a highly professional and experienced House Manager to oversee the smooth running of their Italian home. The Principal splits their time between Italy, Switzerland, Monaco and New York and is therefore looking for a reliable and hardworking House Manager to oversee the property day-to-day.
The position is to be filled as soon as possible in Northern Italy (In the Piedmont at the Switzerland border).
It can be a live-in position if necessary.

Vacancy duties and responsibilities
Management
Service
Administrative
- Overseeing household staff including performance management
- Training the team according to the established high standards and to ensure they are maintained and raised
- Supervising others but also providing service yourself in any number of capacities as needed
- Plan, direct, supervise the work between all staff including all contractors. Ensuring all vendors/contractors that quality works/service are provided
- Plan and organize cleaning schedule, instructions for daily, weekly monthly for estate
- Preparing instructions on how each room/area should be prepared including table laying instruction
- Development of household manuals and inventories
- Other tasks assigned by Estate manager, Owner and guests
- Daily checking of all systems to ensure functionality, troubleshooting brainstorming when needed working with staff, vendors and contractors
- Bring new ideas for higher levels of service in every aspect of estate
Service
- Staff training and development to improve the quality of the service
- Supervising others but also providing service yourself in any number of capacities
- Regular interaction with Family Office in Switzerland, when needed Owner, guests to maintain direct communication and compliance with their needs
- Knowledge of and if needed setting up the table/serving food for Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner.
- Supervision of staff in the same role
- Ensuring that all are comfortable and happy with their stay, address where needed
- Meeting, greeting, and hosting guests
Administrative
- Providing concierge services, local knowledge for the household, owner, and guests
- Prepare schedule for estate staff
- Planning, organize, coordinate, and supervise events according to the occasion
- Household supplies management, purchasing and organization
- Inventory of wine cellar and liquor storage and re stocking
- Taking care of all items related to estate
- Financial reporting, completion of budget management and any other items requested by estate manager or company
Profile requirement
- Minimum of 5 years of experience working for UHNW individuals
- Excellent sense of service
- Discretion and flexibility
- Good communication skills
- High organization and proactivity
- Proven managerial skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Accounting skills
- Fluent in Italien is mandatory
- Speaking good level of English
- Driving license required
Job Conditions
- Start date: As soon as possible
- Contract type: Full-time permanent position
- Hours: Monday to Friday, 8am-6pm, some flexibility may be required when the Principal is in Italy
- Accommodation: Bedroom with a kitchen on site
House Manager Salary
Salary: Good salary DOE + discretionary bonus + 25 days holiday
