Head Housekeeper Job and Vacancy
A Head Housekeeper with experience working in big property is needed to lead the team of 2 housekeepers, under butler and a laundress in 8-bedroom house in Central London. There are 6 family members (2 children) and 2 nannies who permanently live in the property. It is a new team which is why good team building and communication skills are required.
Requirements
- 5 years’ experience in big property (6+ bedrooms, 2+ housekeepers)
- Experience in 5* hotel as a plus
- Verified references
- Managerial skills
- Team leader
- Driving License as a plus (car can be provided for work)
- English
- Knowledge of business English
- Excellent communication skills

Duties and responsibilities
- Daily briefings with the staff (2 housekeepers, under butler and a laundress)
- Insuring high-standard cleanliness in the house at all times
- Hands-on attitude
- Helping housekeepers when necessary
- Performing housekeeping duties (cleaning, laundry and ironing) when needed
- Liaising with contractors, caterers, vendors and other outside staff
- Hiring and training new staff
- Planning monthly schedules for housekeepers, under butler and laundress
- Being the main point of contact between the staff and the Principals
- Managing the wardrobe
- Travelling with the family
- Packing and unpacking the suitcases
- Running personal errands of the Principals
Schedule
5 days - on, 2 days – off
Flexible hours (up to 12 hours per day)
Occasional weekends
Contract
Live-out position.
Trial period – 4 weeks
Salary
Salary negotiable, depending on the profile and experience
