Full Time Head Housekeeper vacancy and job offer in Dallas, TX, USA
Our repeat client is looking for a professional and committed Head Housekeeper (live in or live out) for their main residence in Dallas, TX, US with travel to Keswick, VA and Nantucket, MA.
The head housekeeper will report directly to the principals.
The family has three school age children at present. They operate a busy household which also includes a concierge/gardener. They have other extensive full-time staff in Keswick, VA as well as support cleaning staff and caretakers at the Nantucket residence.
This position is primarily for the day-to-day family housekeeping needs which include all cleaning and ironing. Secondary occasional duties will include basic meal preparation and some household shopping.
The Household maintenance from a cleaning perspective would be the sole responsibility of this housekeeper. The housekeeper is expected to keep records of products, receipts and maintain her equipment.
Travel is an important part of this role. Head Housekeeper must be willing to live with family during travel approx. 4 months a year and reside in Dallas during the other months of the year.
Expectation is that the employee would always work on Thanksgiving, Fourth of July and Easter and occasionally travel with the family on other holidays. Holiday time off at other holidays IS negotiable. Christmas vacation is an option for up to two weeks.

Vacancy duties and responsibilities
- Working directly with the female principal to execute the daily, weekly, monthly goals and objectives.
- Daily Cleaning of all rooms in the Dallas household 5,500 square feet, bed making and linen care
- All household ironing (must have prior experience)
- Daily review of non-routine areas such as the grill, kitchen appliances or silver
- Occasional shopping
- Cooking prep and occasional breakfast or dinner for children
Profil requirement
- Positive attitude and the disposition for service mindset and work.
- Passion for healthy eating.
- Handy, willingness to learn, passion for managing a high-end household
- Experience in a similar position
- Excellent checkable references
- Eligible to work in the US
- Driver's license
Job Condition
- Hours: Approximately 45 hours a week.
- Schedule: Expected to be flexible but generally 8:30am-5:30pm during the week, with employee off on Sundays and Mondays. Heavy weighting in certain periods, lighter weeks expected during major holidays.
Head Housekeeper Salary
- Base Pay: $75,000, payable biweekly
- Bonus: Discretionary bonus paid at Christmas (to begin in 2023)
- Vacation/Paid Holidays: 15 days (3 work weeks). Employee choses these at his discretion and gives written notice at least 2 weeks in advance.
- Travel: This is an important part of the job and will be all expenses and meals paid.
- Healthcare: Included
- Automobile – Employee drives the client's vehicle for work purposes and has a gas and credit card account.
- Housing – Dallas, Keswick and Nantucket very nice quarters provided with full bath, lots of space, and tv/sitting area
