House Manager in San Diego, USA Job Description
Family with one young child (and one on the way) is seeking an exceptional and versatile House Manager to take charge of the smooth running of two homes, La Jolla, San Diego California, US and Montreal, Quebec, Canada, including managing the domestic staff (approximately three to four.)

Vacancy duties and responsibilities
- Manage all domestic staff and external vendors to consistently deliver the highest standard of service and output
- Act as the senior member of all domestic staff – from nannies, housekeeping to weekendhelp – and be fully responsible for their hiring, training and daily management
- System and procedure protocol development for all properties
- Act as the gatekeeper of external vendors as the primary representative of the principal family and be fully responsible for all aspects of property management
- Serve with “roll-up-your-sleeves” and “all-hands-on-deck” mentality
- Ability to fill in for domestic staff in their absence and as requested by the principal family (for example, follow a basic recipe to cook a meal in the absence of a housekeeper)
- Ability to travel with family on request (domestic and international travel around 4 times a year)
- Ability to troubleshoot 24/7
- Take directions from and translate the preferences of the principal family
- Set a tone of absolute professionalism and confidentiality among household staff
- Maintain home processes including staff manual, home operations manual, visitors & maintenance logbook, and shopping/inventory list
- Travel ahead of the family to ensure homes are prepared for their arrival
- Maintain the wardrobe and clothing inventory and clothing storage in all three residences
- Pack and prepare for family’s travel
- Work with chef and staff to support entertaining and events
- Keep all family members on schedule and maintain calendars, attending to their specific needs as directed
Profil requirement
- Possess at least five years relative work experience in similar environment providing high standard services
- Etiquette and Protocol, table Setting and Formal Meal Service
- Personal Valet Duties
- Basic Cooking, Silver Service
- Administrative Duties, knowledge of Security
- Basic Computer Knowledge, use of Smart Home Systems
- Strong work ethic, integrity, and honesty
- Superior communication skills, confidentiality and discretion, organizational skills and eye for detail
- Highly organized, intelligent, and can multi-task
- Be polished, professional and respectful
- Flexibility to work overtime, overnight and/or travel with family, as requested
- Have an excellent command of English
- Full driving license with valid US passport or Green Card
