Personal Shopper
As a personal shopper, you’ll use your expertise to assist your client with their purchases, giving advice and suggest products that will best suit their needs. Personal shoppers work for retailers of all sizes and can recommend products that range from household goods to gifts, and more.
Your duties will depend on your client but it will include making sure that purchases are done on time, and making sure that the best products are suggested for each purchase.

- Making appointments and consulting with clients
- Determining and managing budgets
- Identifying and addressing specific needs
- Suggesting potential purchases to clients
- Keeping clients informed about the latest products
Personal shoppers have to be creative and think outside of the box. They need to be independent people, as the decision making will often be left up to you. Salaries for personal shoppers can be quite good, depending on the number of hours worked, and the client you will be working for. Although these positions are often part-time, full-time positions are also available for specific clients.
