- Liaising with other household staff members, for example, housekeepers and butlers to help with food preparation and setting the table
- Liaising with the clients’ PA or the principal to understand and know what they would like to eat
- Preparing menus
- Managing food and kitchen supply budget
- Shopping for ingredients at local markets or food suppliers
- Maintaining a clean kitchen
- Training other chefs or staff members
