When you work as a horsekeeper, your job will be to feed, clean and look after horses. You will likely have to have experience working as a horsekeeper for private clients, know how to handle horses as well as the necessary equipment. Horsekeepers have to prepare horses for rides and manage all their feeding and exercise schedules.
As a horsekeeper your number one duty is to ensure that the horses are always well-maintained. You may also need to provide regular reports to the owner or manager, and handle grooming, exercise, health and cleaning routines.

You may be hired on a full-time basis, depending on the client’s needs, and will usually have one or two days off per week. You may also work with other horsekeepers from time to time.
