A property guard is someone recruited to ensure the protection and security of a property.
Security guards generally work within the private sector however, they may also be appointed to guard a government property or building.
A property guard will usually be part of a wider security team ensuring 24/7 protection of the property and client.
This can be done in several ways
A property guard would benefit from an office or cabin near the entrance of the property in order to check anyone entering and exiting. If requested, the property guard should also report any movements to the client.

What responsibilities does a Property Guard have ?
- Patrolling the property, checking all windows and doors.
- Reacting quickly and efficiently to security alarms and determining the cause.
- Monitoring and authorising entrances and exits from the property.
- Reporting any unusual events or activities such as damage to equipment or property, robbery or unauthorised persons.
- Informing any relevant personnel regarding any breaches of security, and removing any unwanted persons from the property, using force if necessary.
- Escorting the client, their family and guests by car to specific locations around the property estate and land.
- Regular inspections of property security systems, equipment and machines.
What accommodation should be offered to a Property Guard ?
If the property guard is required to be at the property on a daily basis, the client may offer accommodation.

- Hold a clean criminal record in the country where the employment will be offered, as well as in their country of origin.
- Be able to present any relevant certificates and qualifications from any attended training centres or schools.
- Have successfully passed two interview stages.
- Hold three references form their previous employments.
- Be able to provide us with a professional folder containing: cv, covering letter, a copy of a form of identification, proof of address, proof or a right to work in the country in question (if applicable), driving license, pay slips from previous employment, and any other requested documentation.
