Job description
Our client in Irvine, CA is seeking a warm, nurturing, experienced, and energetic Nanny to join a family of four adults and two children (ages 3 and 1).
The ideal candidate will be a passionate caregiver who is also organized and efficient with household tasks for this long-term permanent position.
Responsibilities
Childcare:
- Provide loving and attentive care to two children, ages 3 and 1.
- Develop and implement age-appropriate activities, including reading, playing, and outdoor activities.
- Assist with meal preparation, bath time, and bedtime routines.
- Transport children to and from activities, school, and appointments.
- Maintain a safe and healthy environment for the children.
- Foster their social, emotional, and cognitive development.
Light Housekeeping:
Assist with light housekeeping tasks related to the children, such as laundry, tidying play areas, and preparing meals for the children.
Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Nanny or in a childcare setting.
- Experience caring for children of similar ages (3 and 1).
- CPR and First Aid certified.
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Flexibility to work varying hours, including some evenings.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with Montessori or Waldorf education.
- Knowledge of child development.
- Proficiency in a foreign language a plus.
- Background in early childhood education.
Work conditions
- This position is live-in.
- Work Schedule: Monday-Friday, 7:45am-6:30pm.
- Hourly rate: $40-$45/hour.
- Must have own car.
- Some travel with family.
