Job description
We are seeking a qualified, well-educated and experienced Nanny/Governess (M/F) to provide outstanding care for three children— a 7-year-old daughter and twin boys aged 5—at their home in Nicosia, North Cyprus.
The successful candidate will reside in a spacious room with a private bathroom within the family’s mansion, centrally located in Nicosia.
Ideal Candidate: The ideal applicant must be a native or fluent English speaker, and proficiency in additional languages is a plus.
This is a long-term role suited for individuals willing to commit for at least 2-3 years.
Responsibilities
- Deliver comprehensive care for the children, ensuring their safety, well-being, and development.
- Foster a nurturing and stimulating environment that promotes growth and learning.
- Plan and engage in educational and recreational activities suitable for the children’s age.
- Collaborate with the children’s school and teachers to facilitate academic support.
- Maintain an organized living space for the children, in coordination with the family's cleaning staff.
- Plan meals for the children in collaboration with the family’s cook.
- Build positive relationships with the children while promoting good behavior and manners.
- Accompany the children on outings and to appointments as necessary.
- Effectively communicate with the family about the children’s daily activities, progress, and any concerns.
Requirements
- Previous experience as a nanny/governess, particularly with children of similar ages.
- Fluent in English, preferably with a British or American accent; proficiency in additional languages is preferred.
- Professional demeanor and excellent interpersonal skills.
- Cheerful, fun-loving personality with a positive attitude.
- Childcare certification or relevant qualifications are advantageous.
- Strong understanding of child development and age-appropriate activities.
- Ability to maintain discipline and set boundaries effectively.
- Respect for cultural differences and adaptability to the family’s lifestyle.
- Non-smoker preferred.
- Valid passport and readiness to relocate to North Cyprus.
Work conditions
- Full-time permanent position.
- Schedule: 45 hours over 6 days per week with one day off (not at weekends).
- Accommodation: Private room and bathroom provided within the family’s mansion.
- Access to a beautiful garden and other amenities.
- Private drivers available for transportation.
- Start date: As soon as possible.
Salary
Commensurate with experience and qualifications.
