Job description

Our VIP client is looking for an experimented House Manager to work in his property based in Paris, 7th arrondissement.

The successful candidate must have at least 5 years experience in a similar position in a very high standard environment.

 Energetic professional who doesn't mind wearing multiple hats. Experienced in handling a wide range of administrative and household support related tasks and able to work independently with little or no supervision. Well organized, flexible and enjoys the challenges of supporting a busy household of family and staff.

 The starting date is as soon as possible for this full time and permanent position.

Responsibilities

  • Overseeing the development of the property including the building, gardens, and ground.
  • Act as the first point of contact for clients & PAs.
  • Liaise with suppliers and contractors.
  • Handle administrative duties including bills, expenses, budgets, staff scheduling, etc.
  • Work closely with existing travel staff and oversees team.
  • Create inventories, cleaning schedules/procedures, guidelines, operation/maintenance manuals.
  • Recruit & train new staff (housekeepers, helpers, on-call staff).
  • Make appointments for personal and professional needs.
  • Supervise the effective operation of the Property.
  • Ensuring full transparency of operations to Employer and its representatives. through regular reporting, continually available monitoring, and regular briefings.
  • Manage and oversee all aspects of the Property, including maintenance and upkeep, engagement of vendors (plumbers, electricians, florists, carpet cleaners, etc.) and expenses.
  • Identifying maintenance and repair issues.
  • Accountable for the cleanliness, care of special finishes and tidiness of the Property, ensuring all cleaning tasks are completed within a reasonable time frame to the highest possible standards.
  • Ensure all rooms are cared for, inspected and presented according to standard.
  • Responsibility for the smooth day-to-day operation of the Property.
  • Providing the day-to-day running of the Property to maintain the highest standards and efficiency.
  • Working closely and supporting fully travelling staff of principal and guests.
  • Keep in regular exchange with head office & head valet to maintain latest standards and routines for principals and guests.

Requirements

  • M/F.
  • At least 3 to 5 years experience in a similar position.
  • Experienced in luxury environment.
  • Hight level of service & Etiquette.
  • Fluent in English & French.
  • Motivated/driven and dynamic for perfection.
  • Very discreet and trustworthy.
  • Able to manage priorities.
  • Eye for the detail.
  • Hands On.
  • Multitasking.
  • Flexibility and reactivity.
  • Driving License.
  • Stress resistant.
  • Must be fine with dogs (1x friendly dog).
  • Strong “can-do’ attitude & able to think outside of the box.
  • Familiar with French attitude, procedures, work law.
  • Knowledgeable of Paris (groceries, Restaurants, shopping).
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize and efficiently deliver results in a timely manner.
  • Ability to understand the client’s likes and dislikes.
  • Proven ability to consistently deliver results with minimal supervision.
  • Flexible availability including daytime, evenings, weekends and major holidays.
  • 24/7 when client/guests resides & time off when client away.

Work conditions

  • Position : House Manager.
  • Start date: As soon as possible.
  • Location: Paris, 7th.
  • Employment contract: Permanent and full time contract, 40h a week, flexibility during weekends.
  • Salary : From 80 000 € gross annual, DOE.
