Job description
We are looking for an experienced Chief Butler (M/F) for a prestigious private estate that offers high-level services to its residents and guests.
You will join the existing team and contribute to maintaining the excellence and refinement that characterize this upscale location. The position is available as soon as possible and is located in Mougins (06).
This is a full-time permanent contract. Accommodation can be provided only during the probationary period. English at a professional level is mandatory and as intermediate French level.
Responsibilities
- Manage and supervise a team of butlers, ensuring smooth coordination of service, including the organization of activities for clients or family members.
- Train and develop the team to enhance their skills.
- Provide impeccable table service during meals and events, with meticulous attention to detail and an unwavering commitment to quality.
- Organize and manage beverage stocks, including alcohol, wine, and other consumables necessary for service.
- Collaborate with all departments, particularly the kitchen, to meet specific client needs and ensure that service and discretion standards are consistently upheld.
- Coordinate the team to provide personalized service and anticipate clients’ needs in terms of comfort, activities, and service.
- Manage beverage and alcohol inventories, ensuring rigorous control over supplies, consumption, and stock levels.
- Offer expertise in wine service and provide clients with recommendations on food and wine pairings, ensuring exceptional wine service.
- Management of employer requests (restaurant reservations, hotels, travel, etc.)..
Requirements
- M/F.
- Prior experience in a similar role, with expertise in high-end service.
- In-depth knowledge of beverages, alcohol (mixology), and wine, with sommelier skills highly desirable.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to anticipate the needs of clients and family members.
- Excellent communication and team management skills.
- Keen attention to detail and the ability to provide highly personalized and discreet service.
- Knowledge of etiquette and luxury service protocols.
- English (spoken and written) is essential, with French language skills highly desirable.
- Driving license B and vehicle essential.
Work conditions
- Job Title: Chief Butler (M/F).
- Position to be filled: As soon as possible.
- Work Location: Mougins (06).
- Employment Contract: Full-time permanent, 35 hours per week on an annualized basis.
- Working Hours: Monday to Friday, with flexibility required for weekends during high season.
- Accommodation : Can be provided only during the probationary period.
- Net Salary (Before Tax): Starting from €3,500 net per month + 13th month + health insurance covered 90% by the employer + Restaurant Vouchers + Bonus.
