Job description
Private family seeks a passionate, patient, and creative Homeschool Teacher (M/F) to provide one-on-one education for two boys (1 & 4-year-old).
The ideal candidate (M/F) will design and deliver engaging lessons that cater to his interests and developmental needs, fostering a love of learning in a nurturing environment.
This position requires someone with a background in early childhood education, a flexible teaching style, and a strong commitment to fostering social, emotional, and academic growth.
Responsibilities
- Develop a tailored, age-appropriate curriculum for the children that focuses on foundational subjects such as language, math, science, and social skills.
- Incorporate play-based learning, creative activities, and hands-on projects to stimulate curiosity and exploration.
- Adapt teaching methods to the child’s unique learning style and pace.
- Focus on developing fine and gross motor skills, problem-solving abilities, and early literacy and numeracy skills.
- Plan outdoor activities, physical exercises, and social interaction opportunities for holistic development.
- Collaborate with the parents to track progress, set goals, and adjust learning strategies.
- Provide consistent updates and feedback on the child’s academic and social development.
- Foster a positive, safe, and engaging learning environment that promotes confidence and independence.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in early childhood education, Education, or a related field (preferred but not required with relevant experience).
- Experience working with young children in a formal or informal teaching capacity.
- Knowledge of homeschooling methods and resources is a plus.
- Strong understanding of child development and early learning principles.
- Creative, patient, and adaptable with a passion for teaching young learners.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills in English, Spanish or French.
- CPR and First Aid certification (preferred).
