Job description
We are seeking a Rotating Private Chef (M/F) to deliver daily high-end culinary services and preparations for our UHNW clients.
The ideal candidate (M/F) will be passionate, with a commitment to long-term engagement, and will thrive in a high-expectation team environment.
This is a permanent position, available as soon as possible. The role is based in Lugano, Switzerland, with accommodation provided for a single person with no pets.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook meals for a family of 4 and their staff (4/5 people), ensuring a diverse and balanced menu that highlights the freshness and quality of ingredients.
- Offer sophisticated and gourmet cuisine for special events and gatherings.
- Design and create customized menus based on the unique preferences of the employers and their guests.
- Uphold the highest standards in culinary quality and presentation, aligning with the employers’ expectations.
- Work closely with household staff to ensure a seamless dining experience.
- Oversee daily kitchen operations, including sourcing ingredients, organizing the kitchen, and managing inventory.
- Handle grocery shopping and ensure the kitchen and related areas are clean and hygienic.
- Deliver a varied and balanced daily menu, demonstrating expertise in culinary techniques and ingredient quality.
- Prepare high-end dishes for special occasions and guests.
- Develop personalized menus tailored to the preferences of the family and their visitors.
- Maintain impeccable standards for dish quality and presentation.
- Collaborate with household staff to ensure smooth dining experiences.
- Manage all aspects of kitchen operations, including procurement, organization, and inventory control.
- Conduct grocery shopping and maintain kitchen cleanliness and hygiene.
Requirements
- (M/F) with 5 to 7 years of experience in a similar role in a high-end private household or prestigious hospitality setting.
- Extensive knowledge of cooking techniques, quality ingredients, and contemporary culinary trends.
- Experience in cost management and budget planning.
- Reliable, trustworthy, and capable of maintaining complete discretion.
- Independent, adaptable, and flexible to meet the needs of the employers.
- Calm, pragmatic, and detail-oriented.
- English and Italian speaker is a plus.
- Valid driving license (B).
Work conditions
- Position: Rotating Private Chef (M/F).
- Availability: As soon as possible.
- Location: Lugano (Switzerland).
- Contract: Permanent.
- Working Hours: Full-time, rotating 15 days on/15 days off.
- Net Salary: 7000 euros per month, depending on experience.
- Accommodation: Provided in an independent studio nearby.
