Job description
We are looking for a House Supervisor who will take care of the property as well as to supervise the staff of our client in Abu Dhabi, UAE.
The candidate will provide reliable support to the client daily by making sure the property is perfectly maintained, and the client’s needs are attended.
This is a full time and permanent role – to be filled as soon as possible.
Responsibilities
- Ensuring high standards of cleanliness inside and outside the palace.
- Supervising a team of 6 house staff.
- Organizing staff schedules to ensure efficient workflow.
- Managing and overseeing the kitchen and laundry, ensuring clothes are cleaned and supervising the gardeners' work.
- Regularly inspecting and organizing the palace’s private storerooms.
- Supervising the maids, driver as well as any other house staff, as requested by the family.
- Household Management: Oversee all matters related to maintaining the household, including cleanliness, organization, and functionality.
- Daily Assistance: Assist our client with daily tasks and requirements, ensuring their needs are met promptly.
- Staff Management: Manage the existing household staff coordinate their activities and ensure the smooth running of daily operations.
- Home Upkeep: Regularly inspect and maintain all facilities within the house, ensuring everything is in perfect working condition.
- Butler Service: Proficiency in formal butler service, as the House Manager/Butler will be expected to perform butler duties when the principal has guests or during special occasions.
- Communication: Maintain open and frequent communication with the team i providing updates on household matters, requirements, and schedules.
- Supply Procurement: Responsible for purchasing supplies, food, and homeware. Must be able to manage shopping trips efficiently.
- Flexibility: Be available on short notice to meet our client's needs, understanding that some tasks may require immediate attention.
Requirements
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in household supervision or large hotels.
- Preference for experience in private homes.
- Being a strong team player and demonstrating a positive energy and attitude.
- Experience in table setting and guest reception.
- Close coordination with the kitchen to ensure food preparation and service.
- Honesty and reliability.
- Strong communication skills with staff and management.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Flexibility in handling different job requirements.
- Previous experience in managing high-net-worth households is essential.
- A calm and the ability to handle high-pressure situations with grace.
- Ability to meet urgent needs and ensure their efficient execution.
