Client seeks a Head Housekeeper (M/F) responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, laundry, wardrobe and organization of a private residence.
This role includes “hands-on” and overseeing household staff, managing cleaning schedules, maintaining household inventory, and ensuring the overall comfort and satisfaction of the family members.
The Head Housekeeper (M/F) will also be expected to assist with special events and manage household logistics, oversee vendors and contractors while renovations to house are being made.
This residence is not the principal’s main residence, flexibly is a must with site locations.
Develop and implement daily, weekly, and seasonal cleaning schedules for the entire residence, ensuring all areas are maintained to the highest standards. Hands-on with cleaning, laundry, wardrobe, general maintenance.
Perform regular inspections of all rooms and common areas to ensure cleanliness, order, and maintenance.
Ensure the household is organized and well-maintained, including managing closets, storage areas, and pantry organization.
Maintain an inventory of household supplies, including cleaning products, linens, and other essentials.
Monitor stock levels and reorder supplies as needed, ensuring the household is always well-stocked.
Run errands, food shopping, and drive to and from appointments as needed.
Manage relationships with suppliers and service providers, ensuring high-quality products and services.
Assist with planning and executing household events, including preparing guest rooms, setting up dining areas, and coordinating with caterers and other service providers.
Ensure the residence is prepared and presentable for family events, guest visits, and other special occasions.
Act as a liaison between the family and household staff, ensuring clear communication of expectations and requirements.
Handle special requests and ad hoc tasks from family members with efficiency and discretion.
Identify and report any maintenance or repair needs within the household.
Coordinate with external contractors & vendors, and service providers for necessary repairs and maintenance work, ensuring minimal disruption to the household.
Maintain the highest level of confidentiality and discretion regarding the family’s personal matters and household affairs.
Ensure all staff are aware of and adhere to privacy expectations.
