Job description
We are seeking a dedicated and versatile Housekeeper/Cook to manage household cleaning duties and prepare meals for the family of our client in Palm Jumeirah, Dubai.
The ideal candidate will be skilled in maintaining cleanliness and order in both living and kitchen areas and will be enthusiastic about learning and preparing recipes tailored to client’s preferences. This is a full time and permanent role – to be filled as soon as possible.
Responsibilities
- Perform general cleaning tasks such as dusting, vacuuming, mopping, and sanitizing various areas of the home.
- Manage laundry, including washing, drying, ironing, and folding clothes.
- Organize and maintain cleanliness in all rooms, including bedrooms, bathrooms, and common areas.
- Ensure that household supplies are stocked and report any maintenance or repair needs.
- Prepare daily meals as per client’s dietary preferences and nutritional requirements.
- Plan and cook a variety of dishes, including breakfast, lunch, dinner, and occasional special meals or snacks.
- Manage kitchen inventory, including ordering groceries and maintaining stock levels.
- Ensure the kitchen area is clean and sanitized, including dishes, utensils, and appliances.
- Follow food safety standards and maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment.
- Be open to learning and adapting to new recipes as preferred by the client.
- Collaborate with the client to plan meals and adjust recipes according to feedback.
Requirements
- Proven experience in housekeeping and cooking roles.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to follow recipes and adapt to new cooking techniques.
- Knowledge of food safety and kitchen hygiene practices.
- Friendly, proactive, and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Strong communication skills and a willingness to take direction.
