Job description

Our client is seeking a professional trustworthy and meticulous Private Housekeeper to join family in the Bahamas nine (9) months and two and half months in Muskoka, Ontario, Canada. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality service to all guests and principals, cleaning and organizational services to ensure a comfortable and well-maintained home. This role requires discretion, reliability, and the ability to manage various household tasks independently.

Responsibilities

Cleaning and Maintenance:

  • Perform thorough cleaning duties including dusting, vacuuming, sweeping, mopping, and polishing floors.
  • Clean and sanitize bathrooms, kitchens, bedrooms, and living areas.
  • Change bed linens, make beds, and ensure all rooms are neat and orderly.

Laundry and Wardrobe Care:

  • Wash, dry, fold, and iron clothes and linens.
  • Organize closets and drawers, ensuring all clothing and linens are properly stored.
  • Handle delicate fabrics and special care garments appropriately.
  • Specialized Cleaning Tasks:
  • Conduct deep cleaning tasks such as cleaning windows, carpets, and upholstery.
  • Care for household appliances, ensuring they are cleaned and maintained regularly.
  • Address specific cleaning requests from family members.

Meal Preparation Assistance:

  • Assist with basic meal preparation and kitchen organization.
  • High-level service to all guests and principals.
  • Serve drinks, setting table and have an eye for detail.
  • Ensure the kitchen is clean and tidy after meal preparation and consumption.

Errands and Shopping:

  • Run household errands such as grocery shopping, dry cleaning pickup, and other tasks as requested by the family.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a housekeeper, preferably in a private home.
  • Strong attention to detail, and organizational skills.
  • Discretion and trustworthiness in handling confidential family matters.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently.
  • Experience in caring for high-end residences.

Work conditions

Live-In, Monday - Friday, flexible schedule.

Salary

$40-$45 per hour.
