Job description
Client is seeking a dedicated and versatile individual to join household as a part time Housekeeper, Cook. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining a clean and organized home and preparing nutritious meals using the organic vegetables grown on the property. This is a part-time position that requires a proactive, reliable, and caring individual who can manage multiple responsibilities efficiently, run household schedule, keep house in order, shopping and meal prep.
Responsibilities
Housekeeping:
- Perform general cleaning duties, including dusting, vacuuming, mopping, and polishing.
- Handle laundry, including washing, drying, ironing, and folding clothes and linens.
- Organize and maintain household supplies and equipment.
- Make beds and change linens as needed.
- Clean and sanitize bathrooms and kitchens.
- Run errands such as grocery shopping and dry-cleaning pick-ups.
- Report any necessary repairs or replacements.
Cooking:
- Plan weekly menus and prepare healthy, balanced meals daily.
- Cater to any dietary restrictions or preferences.
- Shop for groceries and manage pantry inventory.
- Cook using organic food from the on-site garden.
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen, including proper storage of food items.
Requirements
- Proven professional experience as a housekeeper and cook.
- Strong organizational, scheduling, calendar, and multitasking skills.
- Ability to manage time efficiently and work independently.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of cleaning supplies, equipment, and best practices.
- Ability to prepare a variety of nutritious meals using food grown in garden.
- CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
Work conditions
