Job description
Family living in a 4-bedroom estate in Port Elizabeth is looking for a Handyman/Houseman to maintain the interior and exterior of a property. This is a live out position.
Start – mid-May, 2016
Duties and responsibilities:
- Cleaning of terraces
- Providing plumbing, electrician and carpenter services as well as internet provider services
- Maintaining the proper work of household equipment
- Managing property alarm systems and technology
- Liaison with suppliers and subcontractors
- Handling minor repair-work: painting and decorating, minor housework, putting up shelves, moving furniture
- Taking care of the territory of the estate
- Shopping for equipment needed for home repairs
Requirements
- Experience of working in a Private Family as Handyman/Houseman
- Multi-skilled
- Knowledge in carpentering, electricity and plumbing
- Fluent English
- Flexibility and efficiency
- Ability to work quickly, at short notice
- Organisational skills
- Stress resistance
- Communication skills
- Driving license and own car would be a plus
Schedule
Monday – Friday, flexible schedule to be agreed with the client
