Job description
Couple are looking for a Head housekeeper / Laundress to take care of their 400 m2 flat in Milan. Head Housekeeper / Laundress will travel with the couple to their other properties (a castle in Tuscany, a flat in Paris and a flat in New York).
The head housekeeper / laundress will live and be based in Milan, Italy. If necessary, the couple may provide accommodation (a flat). Fluent Italian is a must for the head housekeeper.
Requirements
- Professional candidate
- Pet lover
- Non-smoker
- Fluent Italian
- Minimum 5 years' experience working for private families with checkable references
- Able to travel (flexible)
Duties and responsibilities
- General management of the house
- Knowledge of cleaning techniques and cleaning products for leather, silver, and different fabrics
- Hand wash of fragile plates and dishes
- Knowledge of organic cleaning methods
- Flower arrangement, cleaning plants
- Wardrobe management
- Knowledge of different types of fabrics
- Knowledge of cleaning products
- Sorting laundry
- Washing clothing and linen
- Cleaning delicate fabrics
- Drying clothing and linen
- Ironing all types of clothing
- Small repairs of clothing
- Cleaning shoes
- Packing and unpacking
- Meal preparation
- Menu planning
- Compliance with hygiene rules
- Preparing and serving breakfast
- Setting the table, providing table service and cleaning up the table afterwards
- Managing the supply and storage of products
- Budget management, preparing shopping lists and doing shopping
- Providing administrative assistance
- Taking care of pets
- Ensuring home security
Schedule
