Job description
A European English-speaking family, living in Dubai, UAE and having two children, is looking for a Head Housekeeper who will take care of their home as well as looking after them.
The candidate will provide reliable support to the family on a daily basis by making sure their home is perfectly maintained and their needs answered.
The Head Housekeeper will be responsible for managing the maids in their daily duties and maintaining a clean, sanitary, comfortable, and tidy environment for the family’s household.
There is a travelling nanny who is looking after the children. The role is permanent, based in Dubai and to start as soon as possible.
Responsibilities
The Role of the Head Housekeeper, includes the following responsibilities but it is not limited to:
Lead by example and train the maids
Comply and Contribute to creating new procedures /checklists as needed, and make sure the maids comply with those procedures and checklists
Light Housekeeping of the whole property such as moping, sweeping, dusting, ironing, handling the laundry
Ensure all rooms are cared for and inspected according to the procedures and checklists
Protect equipment (such as coffee machine, washing machine, dish washer, vacuum, kettle) and make sure there are working properly. Report any damages in a timely manner to the Family Manager
Notify the Family Manager on any damages, deficit, and disturbances that are not in line with the procedures of the family
Helping with taking care of the kids on special occasions
Running all errands, and on-demand queries of the family
Follow directions given by the Family Manager
Check stocks level of all consumables/perishable items according to procedures
Cooking for the family as needed
Adhere to health, safety and security rules and protocols
Job location is in Dubai but traveling with the family as needed during the year and up to 2 to 3 months during summertime.
Requirements
M/F with at least 3-5 years experience in a similar role in a private household
Being a strong team player and demonstrating a positive energy and attitude
Enjoy travelling and all the flexibility involved
Mature, Calm and discreet person
Honest, discreet, responsible and totally trustworthy
Warm, friendly and dynamic person
Fluent in english and a valid and up-to-date passport required
Non smoker
Commitment to creating and maintaining a safe, calm, joyful, and happy environment for the family and children.
A strict no-stress policy within the household, ensuring that all interactions and duties are carried out with the utmost respect for the family’s peace and well-being.
Privacy: Valuing undisturbed personal space and intimate family moments of the Family.
Work conditions
Up to 48 hours per week, 1 day off per week
Bonus based on presence and performance (up to 1 month)
Accommodation provided in Dubai and possibly to be shared with another employee
30 days vacation per year with possibility to convert to cash all days that are not taken for holidays
1 flight ticket per year after completion of the first year of service
Traveling with the family whenever needed / accommodation provided during travels and to be shared with other house staff
Groceries provided when traveling with the family
