Job description
Our client, an English family, is looking for a live-in guardian couple for their large secondary property in Sainte-Maxime, in the South of France.
The couple will be responsible for keeping the 7 bedrooms villa and its extensive garden, pool and amenities beautifully kept and maintained at all times and in high standards.
This is permanent role for a couple willing to commit for a long term in a positive atmosphere.
The role is based in Ste Maxime with a start date around October/November 2024.
The role is live-in in a comfortable separate house on the property
Responsibilities
Housekeeping to a very high standard of a 7 bedroom villa (all with en-suite bathrooms), composed by large living areas, large kitchen, and different amenities.
Making sure the property is perfectly maintained at all times and ready for the owners to arrive.
Prepare breakfast when the family is in residence.
Preparation of simple lunches or dinners 2 to 3 times per week (family style) for a large number of guests.
Occasional table or cocktails service
Full laundry management (washing, ironing, wardrobe management, dry cleaning when needed)
Small repairs and renovation works.
Technical maintenance of the interior and exterior equipments and automation systems
Handyman duties.
Reporting to the principals, monthly accountancy.
Organise and supervise contractors, external suppliers and maintenance services.
Gardening and keeping terraces and exterior spaces clean and tidy at all time.
Driver duties: driving, drop-off and pick-up at the airport or in and around Saint-Tropez, car cleaning, service and maintenance.
Pool maintenance
Grocery shopping and errands
Getting the principal’s boat ready before and after their cruises (drinks, towels management)
Being responsible for the security of the property
Requirements
At least 3 to 5 years experience in a similar position for a private employer
Excellent housekeeping and laundry skills
Trustworthy and highly reliable candidates with a great sense of duty and service and an eye for details
Discretion, high flexibility, autonomy
Friendly, delicate and well presented couple
Very good communication skills (verbal and technical)
Clear driving licence for at least 1 of the candidates
Fluent French and very good English for at least one of them
Positive spirit and can-do-attitude, willing to communicate with all 5 members of the family and willing to commit long term.
