Job description

We are looking for an experienced full-time Head Gardener for our client's second home located in Saint Tropez. The estate covers about ten hectares and there are 2 gardeners present who will need to be managed. The position is a permanent full-time contract (35 hours/week) to be filled as soon as possible. It is not a live-in role.

Responsibilities

Developing treatment plans and maintaining plants and grounds Task allocation and management of a team of 2 gardeners Planning and monitoring interventions throughout the estate (pruners, etc.) Monitoring general maintenance work and its execution Ensuring compliance with safety rules Maintenance of gardens, terraces, and all green spaces Management of automatic and manual watering systems Maintenance of garden tools Liaising with subcontractors for quotes and cost forecasts Ensuring proper use and maintenance of provided equipment Reporting to the employer

Requirements

3 to 5 years minimum experience in a similar role In-depth knowledge of plants, plant and tree diseases, pruning strategies, soil conditions, and watering needs Highly versatile with organizational skills Autonomous, dynamic, and honest individual Able to define an action plan, schedule, and precise interventions Team spirit to manage 2 gardeners on-site Strong work ethic, able to anticipate needs and manage time effectively Respect for confidentiality, diplomatic, and discreet Fluent in French and English Must have a valid driver's license

Salary
