Job description
One of our clients, a VIP family based in Dubai, UAE, is looking for a young, experienced, professional and skilled private chef/cook for their Private Household.
The family has 5 children and requires an individual who is child friendly and familiar with Mediterranean style cooking, Greek / Turkish / Lebanese / Italian. You will also be required to prepare school meals for the children.
For cultural reason we are looking for Female candidates and they would prefer someone who is already residing in the UAE. They must be fluent in English in order to lease directly with family members.
The successful candidate will be a creative individual who is able to produce very tasty meals and can also think outside the box and add a touch of uniqueness.
The chef will have great attention to detail and plan good balanced menus, with great flavouring.
Responsibilities
Menu planning
Chef / Cook is responsible for creating weekly menus ahead and share with principals
Shopping for ingredients
Preparing & cooking meals for their principals
Clearing away and cleaning the kitchen
Ordering groceries and kitchen supplies
Plating the food and serving it to the client
Cleaning up the kitchen space after cooking each meal and ensuring the prep area and kitchen is cleaned and sanitised at the end of the shift
Maintaining an inventory of the kitchen supplies and restocking the kitchen cupboards and fridge/freezer as necessary
Properly storing food items at appropriate temperatures
Ensuring to remove all produce past their sell-by dates
Requirements
Working knowledge of food safety and hygiene protocols
Three years or more experience as a Chef / Cook in the restaurants industry and/or UHNW private residence
Good communication skills
Work conditions
Full time, 6 days per week
