Job description
We are looking for an experienced Senior Butler/House Manager to work for a Board Chairman in Hong Kong, China.
Our client is searching for a skilled butler who is fluent in both Chinese and English to deliver exceptional service to a private family in their residence.
The chosen candidate will be responsible for supervising the daily operations of the household, managing staff, organizing events, and providing personalized service to the family and guests.
This is a full-time permanent position that needs to be filled as soon as possible.
Accommodation will be provided.
Responsibilities
Oversee and manage the daily operations of the household, including supervising household staff, coordinating schedules, and ensuring efficient and effective completion of all household tasks.
Provide personalized service to the family and guests, which includes assisting with meal service, managing household inventory, and attending to special requests.
Plan and coordinate events, including formal dinners, parties, and other gatherings.
Maintain the household's high standards of cleanliness and organization.
Manage household budgets and expenses.
Handle special requests and any other duties assigned by the family.
Requirements
Minimum of 5 years of experience as a butler or in a similar role.
Fluent in both Chinese and English, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills in both languages. Proficiency in additional languages such as French would be advantageous.
Strong leadership and management abilities.
Exceptional attention to detail.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
Flexibility to work long hours and weekends as required.
Knowledge of formal service, including table setting and serving etiquette.
Preferred knowledge of wines and spirits.
Ability to maintain confidentiality and discretion at all times.
High school diploma or equivalent is required.
Additional education in hospitality, culinary arts, or a related field is a plus.
Certification from a butler training program is a plus.
