Job description
One of our HNW client is seeking an experienced live-in Domestic Couple for his large residence in the idyllic German countryside, near Bonn.
The couple will oversee and handle the day to day running of the residence and also occasionally manage another smaller residence nearby.
The Principal travels regularly and is looking for flexible individuals who are trustworthy, discreet and willing to go the extra mile to ensure the smooth running of the household.
The successful couple will be hands on in their approach, happy to help in any areas to include animal care and be hard-working, flexible in order to develop with the role.
Responsibilities
All the general housekeeping: cleaning, vacuuming, mopping, dusting
Laundry and ironing
Occasional cooking of simple but tasty meals when required
Assisting when the principal is entertaining, there will be external catering help
Maintaining the upkeep of the grounds (external & internal)
Animal care
General maintenance duties
Gardening (not manicured) including maintaining the ponds
Light repairs and DIY
Driving duties on few occasions
Preparing for arrival/departure of the principal, family and guests
Requirements
Previous private household experience required
Love for the countryside
Good spoken English and ideally German too
EU passport holders
Flexible
Full drivers’ licence
Checkable references from previous employers
Work conditions
Accommodation: Lovely, separate 2-bedroom house offered
Working hours: Mostly 40-hour week, but flexibility is required to work weekends when principal is in residence.
