Job description
Our client is looking for two rota Private chefs to work approximately 10 days per month and be able to travel between East Sussex, near Brighton, UK and France.
They are seeking competent candidates with a real passion for food who are able to create and reinvent classic home style comfort foods with healthier alternative ingredients.
The family is in the food industry / supplements industry, and they have a keen interest in gut health and open minded when it comes to new healthy alternative ingredients.
There are 3 young children in the house and the chefs need to be very comfortable around them, enjoy their company and be happy for them to join in the fun of food preparation. This is fundamental as the kitchen is the centre of the family home.
The role is based between East Sussex, with frequent travel to their residence in France. The house is fully staffed, there is a housekeeper, nannies, and groundsmen.
Responsibilities
Preparation of mostly lunch and dinner, with ahead preparation oh healthy breakfast for the family.
Planning, provisioning, and cooking tasty, nutritiousand well-balanced meals with no grain and refined sugar free
Reinventing classic dishes to suit specific dietary requirements Menu planning and shopping for high-quality ingredients
Clearing away and cleaning the kitchen
Ordering groceries and kitchen supplies
Cleaning the household kitchen
Washing the dishes and other kitchen utensils
Restocking the kitchen cupboards and fridge/freezer as necessary
Properly storing food items at appropriate temperatures
Requirements
In-depth knowledge of various cooking techniques
Working knowledge of food safety and hygiene protocols
Good team spirit
Three years or more experience as a Chef in the restaurants industry and/or private residence
Good communication skills
Sunny personability
Work conditions
Successful candidates will be subject to a trial.
Working for a family based between the UK (East Sussex) & France

Salary
£300 per day depending on experience.
