Job description
A lovely young family are seeking a proactive and child friendly Housekeeper/Cook to look after their beautiful house in the idyllic town of Leuven, 30min from Brussel, Belgium.
The family is currently renovating their 500 square meters forever home and will be moving there in April. They are currently leaving in a 4 stories townhouse nearby.
This is very much a family home with three active young children in residence (5, 9, 11 years old) and it is essential that the candidate is comfortable around children, friendly, positive and happy to help the parents, who work full time, if and when necessary, with school runs and supervise them on occasion.
There is a nice relaxed atmosphere in the house and the family is very down to earth, but they have high standards when it comes to housekeeping and they do like the property to be kept in good order.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the smooth running of the household and be a top-notch hands-on housekeeper with good energy levels and able to use their own initiative.
Cooking family style, healthy suppers for the family will also be required.
You will be liaising directly with the Principals and the languages spoken in the house are English / Italian and Dutch, proficiency in one or more of those is essential.

Responsibilities
Responsibilities include, but not limited to:
High level housekeeping
Running errands and online shopping
Laundry, ironing and wardrobe management
Weekly menu planning and cooking for the family
Answering the telephone, taking messages and liaising with contractors and traders if Principles are away
General day to day household administrative responsibilitie
Requirements
Exceptionally organised
Previous experience working in similar private homes
Capable cook able to produce healthy and balanced meals
Good communication skills
Child friendly and happy to look after the children when necessary
Driver, car will be provided for work purpose
Work conditions
Position : Housekeeper / Cook Live - Out
Starting date : January 2013
Location : Leuven, Belgium
Employment contract : Full Time position. Mon-Fri approximately 40 hours per week, with flexibility
Salary
Approximately 15 EUR net per hour
