Job description
Lovely and Busy HNW Private Household is looking for an highly experienced, driven and skilled full-time Housekeeper to join their team of four staff and take care of their temporary penthouse apartment located in a luxury hotel in the center of Rome, Italy, while constructing their nearby villa.
Although, the family would like to find a local candidate, an independent appartment might be provided for the candidate who ticks all the boxes.
The ideal candidate has to be a highly professional and detail-oriented and open-minded team-player with a common sense. He/she should be native or fluent English speaking with ideally some knowledge of Italian. He/she should have extensive experience in working with substantial property and be able to maintain to a very high standard.
The housekeeper will be trained and supervised by the House Manager according to the family’s needs and expectations. He/she has to be hands-on and willing to evolve within the team. The right candidate will move with the family to the new Roman villa that is actually under construction and will be finished around march 2023.
Start: As soon as possible.
Responsibilities
Extensive housekeeping and thorough and detailed cleaning including delicate surfaces and materials to the highest standard
Cleaning of sofas, chairs, carpets, under the carpets, etc
Change bed linen and towels, make beds, replenish toiletries
Family laundry and liaising with dry cleaner
Meticulous and careful ironing
Deep cleaning when the Principals are traveling
Occasional table service (lunch and/or dinner) when the butler is not available
Tidying up, organising pantries and cabinets
Daily, weekly and monthly cleaning projects and reorganisation
Keeping all floors, equipments and surfaces pristine and tidy at all times
Assist with flower arrangements
Assist with packing and unpacking the family’s and guests luggages on demand
Regular reports to the House Manager
Requirements
M/F
At least 3 years experience in a similar role in a private household
Impeccable references
Native or fluent English speaker with ideally some knowledge of Italian
Local candidates preferred
Highly skilled and experienced in all areas of housekeeping and laundry to a very high standard
Experience in working with substantial property
Meticulous person with attention to detail
Open-minded team player and hands-on person
Trustworthy, bright and energetic personality
Person who takes pride in their job
Excellent communication skills
Willing to evolve within the team
Very discreet, invisible but present
Highly flexible and adaptable to last minute changes
Able to keep themselves busy and see what has to be done
Valid driving licence
EU passeport
Work conditions
40 hours/week (schedule to be determined according to the family’s needs). High flexibility required.
Live-out preferred. Possibility to be housed in an independent one-bedroom apartment.
