Full Time Live-in Junior Housekeeper Job Offer and Vacancy in Newbury, UK
An experienced Junior Housekeeper is required for a live-in position in a large weekend residence near Newbury, Berkshire, UK (on the Hampshire/Berkshire border).
The Housekeeper will work in a team under the guidance of a house manager/head housekeeper and a senior housekeeper. Training will be provided.
The right candidate would ideally have experience in a similar role or in the hotel industry, and be able to integrate with the existing team.
This is a full-time long-term position, start as soon as possible.
Responsibilities
High-standard hands-on housekeeping
Cleaning bedrooms, bathrooms, kitchen, etc
Working in a team with other housekeepers
Laundry and ironing
Making beds, changing linen
Taking care of antiques, high-end furniture and delicate materials
Turn down service
Some front of house duties (help with breakfast, etc)
Requirements
Experience in similar positions
Excellent references from former employers
Able to work in a team
Knowledge of cleaning tools and techniques
Pro-active individual
Hands-on flexible attitude
Non-smoker
Driving licence is a must
DBS checked
Work conditions
Schedule: 40-45 hours over 5 days/week including weekends when the principals are in residence; flexibility required.
