Lovely American family is looking for an experienced, highly skilled and driven Junior Housekeeper to join their team of four in a Palazzo in Florence, Italy.
The perfect candidate is a native or fluent English speaking person with ideally some knowledge of Italian.
The Junior Housekeeper will be trained by the Estate Manager according to the family’s needs and expectations. The right candidate for this position is a team player and a very hands-on person with managerial qualities and ambitions. He/she must be willing to evolve within the team.
The property is very busy, especially during the summer months. This position requires high flexibility and discretion.
The candidate will start as soon as possible in Florence, Italy. This is a live-out position but the family office might assist with housing solutions for the right candidate.
Responsibilities
Extensive housekeeping of a Palazzo composed by 8 suites within an already existing team of housekeepers. Washing and cleaning the floors, all surfaces and windows
Dusting and care of objects and delicate materials
Changing linen according to established rules and schedules
Respect the established housekeeping routine
Deep cleaning when required and possible
Careful washing and ironing of the Principals and their guest’s personal clothes. Experience with delicate fabrics appreciated
General laundry duties
Keeping all floors, equipments and surfaces pristine and tidy at all times
Assist with flower arrangements
Informal guest service when required
Requirements
M/F
At least 3 years experience in a similar role in a private household
Extensive guest experience
English native or at least fluent speaker, Italian is a plus.
European passport
Meticulous and keen eye for detail
Highly skilled in all areas of housekeeping and laundry
Team player and hands-on person
Motivated, driven, energetic individual with managerial qualities
Person willing to be trained according to needs and evolve in a competitive environment
Excellent communication skills
Dynamic, ambitious and willing to evolve within a team
Highly discreet, invisible but present
Highly flexible and adaptable to last minute changes, especially during the summer months
Valid and clean driving licence
Local candidate preferred for this live-out position. Assistance with housing solution might be provided for the right candidate.

Work conditions
Position: Junior Housekeeper
Working hours: 40 hours/week with high flexibility required especially during the summer months.
Workplace: Florence, Italy
No Housing provided: Local candidates preferred. Assistance with housing solutions might be provided for the candidate who ticks all the boxes.
Employment contract: 3-months-temporary contract starting in July and permanent contract starting in October for the right candidate.
