Job description
Experienced Domestic Couple is required for a live-in position on a beautiful estate in the countryside in West Newbury, MA, the USA.
This is the client’s primary residence, the household is informal, yet a high standard of service is required.
Ideally, one of the couple would have a security or police background and would be able to ensure security on the estate.
The Principal has a large friendly & affectionate dog who would require care if the Principal is absent for short trips, so the candidates have to be genuine dog lovers.
The couple’s main place of work will be in West Newbury but they will be required to travel with the Principal to her winter home as well.
The right candidates would be looking for a long-term position. Start: As soon as possible.
Responsibilities
- General maintenance and upkeep of several buildings on the estate
- Handyman duties
- Gardening and assisting landscapers
- Ensuring the property security, managing alarms
- Keeping the residence clean and tidy
- Hands-on housekeeping
- Laundry and ironing
- Assist with garments
- Running errands
- Basic cooking for the principal (vegetarian and vegan dishes)
- Informal table service and table setup
- Dog care
- Some driving
Requirements
- Experience in a similar position with longevity
- Able to commit for a long term
- Security/police/martial arts background will be a big bonus
- Able to appreciate rural lifestyle
- Dog training experience will be an advantage
- Eligible to work in the US
