Job description
A family of 4 people, two adults and 2 kids of 1 and 3 years old is looking to hire a live-in head housekeeper for their 13 000 square feet residence in Indianapolis, USA.
The head housekeeper will be responsible for the smooth running of the residence, daily cleaning, laundry , looking after the other staff, etc…The clients are looking for someone very hands-on, organised, hard-working, independent and resourceful.
The ideal candidate has to be very flexible and have the ability to give directions and fulfill the standards of the principal. This is a full-time live-in position to start as soon as possible and accommodations will be provided.

Responsibilities
- Ensure all daily housekeeping duties are executed to the highest standard
- Make sure to maintain a very good relationship with the staffs and principals
- High standard cleaning of the bedrooms and bathrooms and all other areas inside the property and finishing touches
- Help the housekeeper to clean the residence
- Make sure that the house is clean, organised and tidy at all time
- Help the chef when needed to prepare breakfast, lunch and dinner for the family (minimum up to one day per week)
- Laundry and ironing the clothes
- Organise wardrobes
- Grocery shopping
- Running errands
- Drop and pick the kids from school when and if needed
- Help pack suitcases for family when they travel
- Take the initiative
- Supervising all the staff (chef, nanny, housekeeper)
- Organising the schedule
- Account for items that need restocked around home
- Organise home maintenance and appointments when and if needed
- Suppliment Childcare, staff minimally (up to 8 hours per week)
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years experience in private family
- Trustworthy and discreet
- Commited and hard-working person
- Flexible and adaptable
- Speaking English, French or Mandarin
- Meticulous and attentive to details
- Someone very hands-on
- Team work
- Professional and uniform preferred
Work conditions
Working hours : 5 days per week (flexibility requireds)
