Our client is looking for an experienced Household Manager / Security/ Handyman / Houseman//Driver to run one of their homes in Knightsbridge, London, UK.
The role is partial Live in and partial live out – the candidate must be flexible on this. The position requires a flexible approach and someone who will live at the property when the owners are not in residence overnight or when the owners request this, sometimes at short
notice.

Responsibilities
- Management and maintenance of the property.
- Assisting the owners to move back into the house after an extensive renovation.
- Always ensure the security of the residence and report any concerns immediately to the Family Office.
- Waiter, Butling and Houseman duties.
- Dog care – currently one large dog walking as required (this can be early in the morning and late in the evening), grooming and staying at the property with the dog when the owners are away.
- Learning about and assisting the owners with all of the new systems in the house. Ensure IT, AV, Intruder Alarm and Fire Alarm, M and E systems (including heating, AC and ventilation are regularly tested and maintained/services and always fully operational, including regular checking and testing of the light well primary and back sump tank pumps. Check control panels (gas, boilers, electric etc.)
- Responsible for the inventory and maintenance of all artwork, antiques, surfaces, amenities, fixtures, furnishings, fabrics, carpeting, appliances and equipment.
- Assist the housekeeper with the heavier cleaning duties in the house, including in staff and storage areas, monitoring and restock of household supplies.
- Organisation and tidiness of the storage rooms and cupboards.
- Assist the housekeeper with the preparation of the house for family and guest arrival.
- Collecting and managing of waste and rubbish.
- Collaborate with, supervise and check the work of contractors for maintenance and special projects.
- Valet and general upkeep of cars
- Driving the owners and running errands as required.
- Shopping for household and provisions
- Keeping the terraces clean and tidy and care for the planting on the terraces
- Silver care and cleaning
- Some cooking and food preparation for family and guests
Requirements
- Experience in a similar role
- Excellent references
- The person must currently live in London and be able to get to Knightsbridge easily
- Excellent driver with a clean licence
- There are a lot of new automated systems at the property so the successful candidate will need to be tech savvy and confident in this area
- The role may well suit someone ex-military due to the security nature of the job

- Accommodation: The live-in accommodation is part of the house, it consists of a en-suite double bedroom and bathroom and kitchen/dining area adjacent on the same floor (no partners or children permitted to stay)
Salary
Depending on experience but circa £40,000 gross per annum
