Job description
A lovely family of two adults and three daughters is looking to hire a housekeeper/cook to support them with daily housekeeping duties in their large 5 bedroom house in Hampshire, only 15 minute from the historic city of Winchester, UK.They are looking for a hands-on housekeeper who will ensure the house is ran smoothly and kept organised, clean and tidy at all times. The housekeeper should also be able to prepare well-balanced and diversified meals for the Principals (mainly for the children) and occasionally look after the children when the Principals are away.The ideal candidate must be able to demonstrate leadership, be organised and flexible and have common sense. We are looking for experienced, trusted and and open-minded candidates.We are looking for a candidate to start as soon as possible. This position is live-in and a self contained annex is provided.
Responsibilities
To ensure the home is kept organised, clean and tidy (children’s play room, kitchen after use, bedrooms and bathrooms, etc) General household cleaning to include dusting, vacuuming, mopping, changing bed linensMeal preparation of well-balanced mealsOccasionally look after the three children, picking up from/to nursery, school or any after school activitiesGreeting and hosting informal parties for the family’s guests (mainly during the summer)Be able to travel with the family at least twice a year to CornwallManaging all ad-hoc activitiesDriving (do the necessary shopping, running errands, etc.)Occasional pet care duties for their golden retriever when requiredWardrobe management when required
Requirements
Minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience working within private householdsResponsible and hands-onFull clean UK driving licenceOrganised and proactiveAble to take initiatives and demonstrates leadershipAbove and beyond attitude as well as can-do attitudeFlexible and committedOpen mindedA keen eye for details and a good capacity to adapt to any request or situation
