Job description
A VIP single mom and her 10 year old daughter require the appointment of a live-in nanny/housekeeper, in Bryanston, Johannesburg, South Africa. The person will be in charge of maintaining the home cleaning and child care with absolute priority given to child minding and care on when she is at home.
The housekeeping will be a shared responsibility and not the primary role. Cooking homely meals would be a requirement too.
This is a live-in position with accommodation included.

Responsibilities
- Maintaining the home clean and tidy at all times
- Good knowledge of cleaning products and their use
- Cleaning products inventory management
- Cooking simple yet fresh and varied meals for the family or the children only, depending on the family’s schedule
- Laundry management
- Accompany the children to their activities
- Drop off and pick up from school
- Always ensure a benevolent environment for the children
- Preparing and Cooking homely meals ( curries, stews, chicken, fish, salads )
- Ensuring the bedrooms and the playing area are always well maintained
- Stimulating the kids’ development through language, books and games
- Ensuring a proper communication with the parents
Requirements
- At least 3 to 5 years’ experience as a nanny/housekeeper in private households
- Warm, loving and caring candidate
- Independent person, able to work on her/his own
- Very good English verbal and written communication skills
- Driver’s licence would be great advantage but is not required.
Work conditions
- Job description : Nanny/housekeeper
- Start date: Soonest
- Employment contract: Permanent
- Working hours : 45h from Monday to Friday Overtime will be planned and paid accordingly
- Accommodation : Fully equipped and individual accommodation – Car at disposal
