Job description
Our clients are looking for a Live-in Head Housekeeper to look after their 5 bedrooms house in Elsenham, United Kingdom. The House Manager would be performing all general housekeeping duties, look after their 2 boxer dogs and occasionally cook for them (mainly dinner).The ideal candidate must be very well organised, pro active and someone who loves the countryside and rural life. The position is live-in and accommodation is provided. We are looking for a candidate to start in April 2021.
Responsibilities
Looking after the houseGeneral cleaning and deep cleaning (vacuuming and mopping, dusting furnitures, etc)Laundry and ironing - clothing, bed linen, delicate items and hand-washingRunning errands and pick up groceriesCooking well balanced meals (mainly dinner)Looking after the 2 boxer dogs (feeding, watering, dog-walking especially when the Principals are away)Travelling with the Principals to America, generally from January to MarchGeneral maintenance of the outside of the property (occasionally)
Requirements
Minimum 3 to 5 years experience in similar environmentsEnglish speakerSomeone who enjoys countryside and rural lifeAdaptable, flexible and trustworthyAnimal loversGood communication skillsKind and warm yet discreet and responsibleVery well organised and pro active (able to take initiatives)Above and beyond attitudeA keen eye for details and a good capacity to adapt to any request or situation
