Job description
Our return client requires an experienced, friendly, optimistic and flexible Domestic Couple to manage their large weekend 18th century country house and cottages near Lewes in East Sussex, UK.
The estate is set in 42 acres of land and additionally consists of a lake, woods and arable farmland. Couple must have experience working and understanding how to care for old houses.

Responsibilities
Gardener/Handy man
Housekeeper
- Oversee, manage and organise garden
- Take care of animals
- Liaising and supervising contractors
- Pool and tennis court maintenance
- Basic repairs
- General maintenance and small repairs (roof, chimney, heating, check oil level, etc)
- Take care of the vegetable garden, flowers and wild English garden
- Run errands
Housekeeper
- Regular and deep cleaning
- Laundry and ironing of clothes, curtains, and delicate fabrics
- Some childcare duties if required
- Cooking for the family and guests if required
- Look after pets
- Work weekends if required
- Care for antiques and artworks
Requirements
- Previous experience working as a domestic couple
- Experience working in old houses
- Very nice and amenable people
- Hands-on and trustworthy people
- Energetic and dynamic
- Animal lovers
- Clean drivers licence
- Good references
Work conditions
- Nice accommodation will be provided
- Working hours: 5 days/week including Saturday and Sunday (flexible hours during weekends)
