Job description
An experienced domestic couple is required for a private estate near Edinburgh, Scotland. The couple will work in a 7-bedroom house which is regularly occupied.
There are other staff working on the estate, such as an estate manager, part-time housekeeper and gardeners. The male candidate will drive and oversee vehicles, and perform general domestic duties in the property ensuring all maintenance is up to standard.
The female candidate will perform all general housekeeping duties, and also do occasional cooking.
Start: ASAP but the client is happy to wait for the right candidates.
Responsibilities
- Maintain a high standard of cleanliness in the house
- Deep and regular cleaning in a team with part-time cleaners
- Laundry and ironing
- Some cooking for the principal and guests if required (up to 5 people)
- Driving
- Looking after and ensuring maintenance of cars
- Maintenance and minor repair works
- Helping around the estate, working as part of the team
Requirements
- Experience in a similar position
- Checkable references
- Driving licence

Work conditions
- Working hours: 40 hours/week with some flexibility
- Accommodation and car : The couple will be provided with a vehicle and a separate cottage on the estate
