What responsibilities might spa staff have?

  • Performing massages, facials, manicures, pedicures and other spa treatments using a variety of techniques and equipment
  • Evaluating the employer’s medical history and taking this into consideration when performing treatments
  • Evaluating the employer’s flexibility, strength, skin and nail condition etc. during treatments
  • Discussing medical issues, stress-related trauma and other topics for therapy
  • Consulting and liaising with other health professionals (physiotherapists, chiropractors, doctors etc.)
  • Preparing and advising on products and equipment (massage oils, skincare products etc.)
  • Keeping up-to-date treatment records
  • Offering advice on techniques and exercises to improve posture, stretching, stress release and relaxation, skin and nail care etc.
  • Staying up-to-date with modern therapy practices, trends and equipment


What accommodation should be expected for private spa staff?

Travelling spa staff should receive hotel or private accommodation. Outside of travelling, private spa staff should expect to arrange their own private accommodation close to the main client facility.

 

All our spa staff are required to:

  • Hold clean criminal records in both their country of employment and country of origin
  • Present all certificates and qualifications from training centres and/or schools they attended
  • Successfully pass two interview stages
  • Provide at least three positive references from previous employers
  • Complete professional dossiers containing: CV, cover letter, proof of identity (photocopy or scan), proof of address, proof of the right to work in the country of employment (if applicable), driving license and pay slips from previous professional placements. Candidates should be aware that other documentation may also be required.
