A private tennis coach is an expert capable of offering personalised lessons to clients of all levels and ages to help them improve their game.
They must tailor their instruction to the students' individual needs, technical knowledge and physical abilities, whilst ensuring that it takes place in absolute safety.
While some students may simply want to improve their skills, others may wish to participate in high level competitions. The tennis coach must therefore be an adept player in their own right, with a flare for pedagogical activities and exercises, as well as patience and care for their students' progress.

What responsibilities does a private tennis coach have?
- Maintaining profession relations, service and attire
- Offering bespoke training programmes for students of all levels (including children)
- Preparing students for competitions, organising documentation and transport
- Encouraging and motivating students to improve their skills
- Ensuring the students health and safety at all times
- Ensuring that equipment is maintained and secure
- Offering expert advice on techniques, exercises and equipment
- Helping to organise social events, participating in informative sessions and meetings
- Willingness to change locations of lessons
- Maintaining an up-to-date training file, communicating results and progress with the student
- Assisting in the maintenance of training facilities relating to tennis, offering advice
All our private tennis coaches are required to:
- Hold clean criminal records in both their country of employment and country of origin
- Present all certificates and qualifications from training centres and/or schools they attended
- Successfully pass two interview stages
- Provide at least three positive references from previous employers
- Complete professional dossiers containing: CV, cover letter, proof of identity (photocopy or scan), proof of address, proof of the right to work in the country of employment (if applicable), driving license and pay slips from previous professional placements. Candidates should be aware that other documentation may also be required.
