Our client seeks an experienced Guardian Couple for their secondary residence located one hour from Bordeaux, between Saint-Emilion and Bergerac in the Dordogne region.
The estate spans several hectares, featuring a recently renovated 600m2 chateau. The couple's primary responsibilities include property surveillance and ensuring the upkeep of both the interior and exterior.
This is a full-time permanent position available immediately. Accommodation will be provided in an independent house with a garden.

Vacancy duties and responsibilities
- Thorough cleaning and meticulous organization
- Precise household tasks, including caring for artworks
- Room ventilation
- Laundry maintenance and delicate ironing
- Linen pressing
- Running various errands and shopping
- Preparing balanced family meals (with a chef for receptions)
- Informal service
- Driving duties
- Property surveillance and security
- Maintaining garden furniture and the pool area (sunbeds, umbrellas, cushions)
- Regularly checking the proper functioning of all property systems (air conditioning, boiler, sports equipment, hi-fi)
- Inventory management
- Minor repairs and DIY tasks
- Garden maintenance (mowing, pruning, gardening)
- Managing external service providers
Profile requirement
- Minimum 3 to 5 years of experience in a similar role
- A couple seeking long-term employment
- Attentive and highly detail-oriented
- Trustworthy, honest, and discreet individuals
- Knowledge of gardening and DIY is required
- Enjoy cooking
- Fluent in French
- Proficiency in English is a plus
- Both members of the couple must have a valid driver's license
- French speaking is required.
Job Condition
- Available Immediately
- Location: Between Saint-Emilion and Bergerac
- Employment Type: Full-time permanent contract
- Working hours: 35 hours per week for the gentleman, 20 hours per week for the lady when the owner is absent. Monday to Friday. Flexibility on weekends and during the summer when the family is present.
- Accommodation: Independent house with 2 bedrooms and a garden
Caretaker couple Salary
- Proposed net monthly salary: €4,000 for the couple
- Accommodation and utilities included
- Company car provided.
