Housekeeper/Cook is required in Gava, Spain - Job Description

Our client is recruiting a Housekeeper/Cook to take care of their property located near Barcelona, in Gava (Spain). The successful candidate is fluent in English and Spanish, is an experienced cook, and will be responsible for the maintenance of the property and ensures that the complete household runs smoothly on a daily basis.

The family travels a lot and requires full flexibility when present on the property, the activity is very much lighter when they are away, therefore flexibility is required for this position.

This is a full-time permanent position with accommodation provided.
Starting date : April 2023

Vacancy duties and responsibilities

  • Housekeeping to a high standard of a large villa of 350 M2
  • Keep the house in order : cleaning and tidying
  • Get the house totally ready prior to the arrival of the Principals
  • Cook for the family on daily basis: Healthy mediteranean cuisine 
  • Set up, breakfast, lunch and dinner table, informal table service
  • Assist the family while they are in residence (pack, unpack luggage, book reservations, make appointments...)
  • Washing and ironing or steaming of clothes and linen, folding and hanging, wardrobe management, liaising
    with dry-cleaning service when necessary.
  • Running errands and grocery shopping upon request
  • Management of food stocks and household products
  • Ensure the surveillance of the property

Profile requirement

  • At least 3 years experience in a similar position with excellent references
  • Discreet, flexible, highly reliable, and trustworthy people
  • Excellent housekeeping and laundry skills and large experience with noble materials 
  • Organisation skills
  • Autonomy required with a strong sense of service and responsibility
  • Meticulous person who takes pride in their work and in their employer’s satisfaction
  • Good communication skills
  •  Fluent in English and Spanish​
  • Driving licence B
