As an event bodyguard you’ll need to understand the specific event you will be attending and know where possible security threats may occur. You may also be required to work as part of a security team that includes other bodyguards and professional drivers. You may work in a high-risk environment protecting a public or political figure, or in a lower-risk environment protecting an individual, for a specific upcoming event.

- Accompany clients to social and business events
- Plan trips and do research to prevent possible threats
- Assess premises before your client arrives
