We are looking for a Caretaker Couple for our French-speaking clients whose primary residence is located in Waterloo, Belgium. The couple will be responsible for general maintenance and site surveillance.
The couple, who should be willing to commit for the long term, will be in charge of taking care of the house and the outdoor spaces, as well as guarding the property.
There is already a gardener and a housekeeper employed at the residence.
The position provides accommodation and is based in Waterloo, 20km south of Brussels, Belgium.
This is a permanent position available in September 2023.
The couple, who should be willing to commit for the long term, will be in charge of taking care of the house and the outdoor spaces, as well as guarding the property.

Vacancy duties and responsibilities
- Ensure the proper functioning and general maintenance of the approximately 500m2 property.
- Perform daily cleaning and tidying of the main house.
- Maintain the outdoor areas (park, lawn, hedges, garden, terraces).
- Take care of the household laundry.
- Maintain the terrace and garden or pool furniture.
- Prepare meals for the family (home-cooked and balanced cuisine).
- Take care of grocery shopping or additional errands.
- Maintain the swimming pool.
- Be available to drive family members upon request (to school or nearby outings).
- Monitor and guard the property.
- Manage incoming mail and packages.
- Perform occasional DIY tasks and repairs.
- Manage and supervise service providers and craftsmen.
- Provide regular reports to the employer.
Profile requirement
- Minimum 3 to 5 years of experience in a similar position.
- Friendly and pleasant couple seeking long-term employment.
- People of utmost trustworthiness.
- Dynamic and versatile couple.
- Possess autonomy and organizational skills.
- Capable of performing minor DIY tasks or occasional repairs.
- Valid driver's license required for at least one person.
