Cook/ Housekeeper Job


A private family of 4 (adults) based in Irvine, Los Angeles, USA are looking for a house manager/cook who would be able to ensure a smooth running of the property and understand house’s needs.

​The main duty of the candidate will be cooking family-style meals, but performing some light housekeeping duties is required as well. There is a housekeeper who cleans the property regularly. There are animals in the house (4 dogs and 1 cat) to be taken care of.

Requirements

  • Experience in a similar position
  • Experience in working for a high profile clients 
  • Fluent English
  • Good cooking skills
  • Calm and capable
  • Tactful and discreet person
  • Happy to do some light housekeeping 
  • Mature candidate
  • Able to anticipate the needs of the family 
 
Duties and responsibilities

  • Cooking lunches and dinners
  • Preparing meals for weekends
  • Garnishing and serving meals
  • Setting up the table
  • Arranging and hosting dinner parties (up to 10 persons)
  • Overseeing housekeeper
  • Performing light housekeeping duties when required 
  • Walking dogs once a day (shared with the housekeeper)
  • Managing the grocery stock 
  • Arranging fresh flowers around the house
  • Running errands
 
Schedule

5 days/week
8 hours per day (flexibility would be much appreciated)
  
Salary: $25-30/hour, can be negotiable depending on profile.
