Head Housekeeper Job
HNW family is looking for a professional, qualified and experienced Head Housekeeper to take care of their 8 bedroom Tuscan style Estate in New York area. The candidate must be well-organized and able to lead a team of housekeepers (2 people). The Head Housekeeper will report to the House Manager. There is a House Manager, 1 chef, 2 housekeepers, 2 chauffeurs and a PA in the house. This is a live-out position.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of experience working as a head housekeeper in private residences
- Fluent English
- Managerial skills
- Knowledge of cleaning products
- Good skills in taking care of valuable surfaces and natural materials
- Knowledge of delicate fabrics
- Well-organized and responsible
- Attentive to details
Duties and responsibilities
- Ensuring cleanliness and order in the Estate
- Managing and organizing a team of 2 housekeepers
- Organising their schedules and rotas
- Liaising with supplies and contractors
- Taking care of delicate materials (silk, linen, etc.) and surfaces
- Overseeing preparation to guests’ arrival
- Providing expenditure reports to the House Manager
- Running errands

8- 10 hours per day
