Domestic Couple Job
An experienced Domestic Couple (a butler/house manager and a cook/housekeeper) is required to service & care for a luxury residence, the principal and his wife who reside in Llundudno, Cape Town, South Africa. It is essential for the couple to have previous experience in an ultra-luxury environment, private luxury residence, private yacht or similar for UHNW individuals and their personal requirements.
The prestigious residence requires full care of all interior aspects ranging from cooking, housekeeping, VIP wardrobe care, personal service, guest service & and general property management. There is an option of living on the property with a studio apartment & on-suite made available, however this is not compulsory.
This fantastic opportunity will please persons with a keen eye for detail, experience in ultra-luxury home management & preparation and a love for applying their culinary skills in the kitchen for both intimate & entertainment purposes. A very competitive remuneration package will be offered to the couple who holds the required experience & qualifications to complete the tasks at hand.

Candidate’s Profile
- Fluent command of English in verbal and written communication
- Honest and Trustworthy individual with a pro-active mind set
- Detail oriented with the ability to manage: Housekeeping, Cooking, Laundry & Ironing, Deep Cleans
- Extensive experience in similar position within a luxury private family residence
- High level of experience in a Housekeeping position with cooking ability
- Flexible and able to accommodate principle and guests schedule
- Service orientated and highly skilled
- Certified Qualification and experience in house management/ hotel management / guest house management
Duties and responsibilities
For Butler/House Manager
- Ensure smooth running of the household
- Liaise with outside contractors
- Supervise the work of the gardening services, pool maintenance staff
- Serve drinks and food (formal service)
- Greet guests
- Chauffeur duties (picking up at the airport, shopping, driving kids)
- Responsible for stocking the house
- Organise receptions
- Run different errands
- Planning cleaning schedule and tasks in different parts of the property
- Managing and scheduling periodical deep cleans, as well as daily cleaning of the property
- Managing the upkeep and inventory of a VIP wardrobe
- Managing laundry department garment care _ silks / cashmere’s and other delicate fabrics
- Ensuring upkeep of porcelain, crystal, gold and silverware
- Maintaining and inventory of cleaning products and materials
- Flower arranging
- Overseeing stock and supply operations in regards to cleaning products and supplies
- Managing the purchase of fresh produce
- Maintaining and inventory of fresh produce
- Closely monitoring & assisting with creating and preparation of weekly menu's
- Managing cleaning and upkeep of hygiene standards within the kitchen
- Breakfast, lunch and dinner service & room preparation with short notice
- Dinner service duties during receptions and special occasions

- Managing of service providers and deliveries

For Cook/Housekeeper
- Cook healthy organic meals for 3 people, 3 times a day
- Plan the menu and grocery lists
- Assisting the chef during events
- Clean the house to a high standard
- Wardrobe maintenance
- Laundry, ironing, dry cleaning
- Babysitting while family visiting
- Maintain cleaning check list & record
- Detailed cleaning including carpets and windows, surfaces & antiques
- Organizing and scheduling cleaning routines
- Laundry and ironing including linens, VIP wardrobe and delicates
- VIP wardrobe management
- Simple sewing and repair to clothing
- Household inventory management & grocery list for cleaning supplies.
- Vendor supervision and reporting to estate manager
- Running errands
- Maintaining cleaning equipment at all times
- Special care of furnishings, delicate surfaces, high-end household appliances
- Hand-washing and special care of fine linens and delicate clothing
- Supervision & team work with housekeepers, gardeners & kitchen staff
- Preparation of all meals when required
- Assisting in the preparation for functions / receptions & special occasions
- Serving of guests when required at large functions.
- Cleaning and packaging of function items after functions.
- Guest room preparation for expected guests.
- Bed making to hotel standard
- Turn down service to hotel standard
- Packing and unpacking luggage for guest arrivals and departures _ when required.
Requirements
- 3 years’ experience working for a private HNW family
- Experience as a domestic couple
- Driving license would be a plus
- English speaking
- Flexible
